Intel SSD uses two-inch mSATA form factor
Intel Corp. announced a solid state drive (SSD) in 40GB or 80GB capacities, claimed to be an eighth the size of the company’s 2.5-inch X25 SSDs. Measuring only 2.0 x 1.18 x 0.2 inches (51 x 30 x 5mm) and weighing less than 10 grams, the Intel SSD 310 Series is Intel’s first mSATA form factor SSD.
