Before hunting season, here are some reminders
Hunting seasons are so rapidly approaching and I am not sure what to do first in my preparations for anything. I want to go squirrel hunting and cannot find any of the good old recipes for fixing them and my uncle, Elby LeBlanc, died last December and he was not only like my father, one of the best cooks to ever come out of South Louisiana, but he took many of his age old recipes with him.

Old River Homeowners Association holding meeting Old River Homeowners Association will hold a meeting Tuesday at 7 p.m. at Le Café de Bon temps, 40261 U.S. Highway 190 Easst (Fremeaux) to elect a board of directors. Neighborhood events for the 2011 fiscal year will also be discussed. The restaurant will open at 6:30 p.m. Hors d’oeuvres and ice tea will be provided with a cash bar available.
