For a full analysis of this box, search benchmarkreviews and gamma. They like it very much and that’s what convinced me to give it a shot. I don’t disagree with them, but I have a slightly difference perspective:

Let me say that my plans for this case are to build a file server. I like that it will hold several hard drives comfortably, and that they are designed so that a front intake fan will cool them. Because this will be on all of the time, I am going to use a low-ish power AMD chip (65 watts), and the dedicated graphics of a Gigabyte motherboard. I like the openness of the case as the heat won’t be at all trapped inside the case and that will let me use few and slow fans, making minimal noise.

    1) This is an inexpensive case, and the thickness of the metal reflects that: this is not a case that will take much physical abuse. To be fair, part of that is because it’s a hugely ‘open’ case – loads of mesh, including left side, top, front, etc. That’s either good or bad depending on your feelings on how to handle air/heat management.

    2) This is a beautifully designed case, with features you’d never expect on an inexpensive mid-tower case, such as the all-black interior, eSata port on the front panel, mesh grills for the fans, etc. Also, since I’ll be putting it on the floor, and sort of tucked away, I like that the front ports (USB, eSata, power, etc) are on an angled plane such that they are easier to access from above. The PSU is on the bottom of the case, so this could possibly be an issue in terms of the power cable reaching the motherboard, but I don’t think it will be for any decent PSU. It’s a very handsome case with a blue led stripe of light on the front that’s both appealing and reserved.

All in all, this is a cleverly designed case that tries to use good design to compensate for the cheap-ish materials and it mostly does so. I’d like heavier metal, but you don’t get great metal at this price, and this should work. Features and looks-wise, this is a lot of case for the money. The one thing that they clearly cheaped-out on that bothers me is the power button: it feels very flimsy. I have no reason to think that it’ll break, but each time you press it you’re going to be aware of how cheap it is.

I don’t have much more to add to the pretty thorough reviews and the feature list and info available online (5 egg average review on Newegg) but two things stand out: Amazon gets points for shipping the case in another box. In the past when I order from another vendor like Newegg they just slap a label on the box the case comes in and ship it off, and it seems to me it is far more likely to arrived damaged with broken plastic tabs or posts on the front panel. This is no doubt partly an issue with the manufacturers way of packaging and even handling, but all things being equal (this WAS $30 with free shipping after all) I’d pick Amazon because they ship with additional packing around the box.

Second thing is the metal is a little thin. It gives a bit when I mount the fans for example, but again this is about as good you’ll get with this price range so I’m not taking any stars away from the rating.

A very positive experience overall, I’ll be looking for cases on Amazon and also from NZXT in the future.

This was a great buy for 29.99 + Free Ship from Amazon. The computer model

we installed in this case went fine. The Case is very sturdy, has no sharp edges,

and has gobs of room for 140mm fans and 120mm Fans – not to mention ample

room for any motherboard. We are not fond of black that much (too difficult

to see details) but we had it painted White (professionally done). The only

con is the the front bezel has be removed (and it is no easy task) to install

a Front Fan which is really needed to keep the hard drives cool.

The case does not come with a power supply so we installed a 550 Watt

Thermaltake. This case has great cable and wiring accessibility and

the overall design is good – especially with the Power Supply being

located on the bottom (once again – not supplied). The front panel

has USB connections with audio plug ins, and 2 dim accented LED lights.

Also – the 2 top 120 to 140mm Fan make it impossible (virtually) to

install a 5.25 Optical drive on the top bay. We compensated that by

installing the 3.5 memory card reader using an adapter (5.25 to 3.5)

on the top bay and the optical drives on Bay 1 and 2. This case

does not have an external 3.5 external bay (another con), but regarding

the price, sturdiness, and good quality of the case, it deserves 5

stars. The Shipping was double-boxed, was professionally done,

and arrived undamaged and in a timely manner.

Really, This case is amazing for its price, It has everything that the 120$-180$ cases have. Cable management easy access to Hard drives, 7 expansion slots. and 6 120mm fan spots 2 on the side 1 in the back 2 on top and one in front, 2 on the top which can fit 140mm fans, and the side fans can fit 80 and 92mm fans too. and for all you overclockers and cooling junkies it has an opening to access the heatsink on the back of the motherboard so you dont have to take it off every time.

Overall this is an amazing case and is insanely cheap and made of sturdy material, the fan included is extremely quiet, mine did not actually come with the fan but i ordered the exact kind off amazon for about 4 dollars and its great quality too.

I purchased this case for my wife’s birthday, it arrived on time and in perfect condition.

    When building her machine…

PROS: Lots of places to mount fans (80 or 120mm). Easy case to work in, plenty of drive slots and tool-less design. Punch-outs for running cables and a simple, sleek look. Open grills (front and back) w/ filters to keep out the dust. 🙂

CONS (for me): The hard drives mount facing the right side of the case (if you’re looking at the front). This means that the data/power cables have less clearance than other cases. My wife has an older PATA style drive so I couldn’t plug the power cable in and still close the right side of the case. Had to mount her drive in a cage in the 5.25″ drive bay. This problem will be fixed when I upgrade her to SATA since those drives have right-angle power connectors.

Also, the left-hand side panel doesn’t have a handle, so it’s a little hard to remove.

This is an excellent case with plenty of space for more drives and HDDs than you can ever fill, but if you are unfamiliar with computers, this is not for a beginner. It is a little difficult when you are trying to plug everything into your motherboard, but you can figure it out with enough expierence. It looks amazing, and the built in thermometers are great for positioning on whatever you want to watch. Even now I can see that my Graphics Card is 34 C, my HDDs are 30 C, and my Power Supply is 36 C. Also, this item does NOT come with its own power supply, so be prepared. It is well worth the time and effort. The locking side door adds extra security to your computer’s hardware.

This is a very good looking case. My kids love it. I found it easy to install my EVGA X58 mother board and Intel Core i7 processor with the Nvidia Geforce GTX 295 video card. The only downside to the case is that my 1000watt PSU was a bit longer than the standard ATX power supply so I had to remove the fan at the top of the case to accomodate the PSU. It will need to be reinstalled somewhere else in the case. There is plenty of room in the case for expansion.
