The outside of the box gives you a tease of what lies inside: the cool midnight blue lights; the viewing panel on the side of the case; and the mammoth fan that sits on the top of the case.

Opening the box reveals the sheer size of this case. 1200 could stand for 1200lbs, 1200fans, or 1200 drive bays. The case weighs over thirty pounds. It stands almost two foot tall. The front of the case is populated with twelve…TWELVE drive bays. Fans are distributed liberally throughout the case.

Removing both side panels reveals the vast interior. You could easily stack 2-3 laptops inside the case. Looking for an SLI case? The Twelve Hundred has the space. It swallowed my nForce Ultra 790i Ultra motherboard and EVGA GTX 280 and still has space for two more GTX 280s.

The power supply sits at the bottom of this case. Don’t even think about installing anything less than a 750W power supply. Preferably something with a LOT of connectors. You will need several 4pin connectors for all the fans. Fortunately, they can be daisy-chained.

Another key feature of this case is the ability to run cables UNDER the motherboard. The motherboard attaches to a metal plate in the case. Under that plate is a space to run almost all of the wires used in a PC. SATA, fans, front panel wires, and just about anything else. The plate has openings at strategic points where cables typically connect. The end-result is a very clean looking and professional installation — which you can show off using the viewing panel on the left side of the case.

The twelve drive bays are grouped into 3 sets of 4. Each group has its own fan. Installation of 5.25in and 3.5in drives was easy and intuitive. There was a brief moment of confusion on my part when trying to attach drives to the bay. The usual “short” screws are not used with this case. Instead, there are 1″ screws used to mount drives into bays.

About the only drawback is the rudimentary front-panel. It works — but looks very plain. After the exotic design inside the case, the lighting, the fans, etc, the front panel is a bit of a let down.

Still, I am absolutely thrilled with this case. Highly recommend for gamers, high-end graphics workstations, or users with massive storage requirements.

Although I didnt buy this case here on Amazon, (do a little googleing to find it cheaper), I must write a review for my fellow Amazon shoppers who might be looking for a great full tower case. I bought an Antec 900 and used it for two weeks but it was a little smaller than I am used to. I said to myself I wish Antec made this in a full tower. Not a few minutes after I said that I found the Antec 1200. Although a little bit more expensive than I like to spend on cases my experience with the 900 made me think this case will be worth it. Boy was I right. This thing is everything the 900 isnt. Its big, roomy and talk about cooling. 8 fans. 6 installed and Antec throws in 2 more that can be installed for the total of 8. Beware, if you dont like blue LED than you might think twice. Personally, I like it. All fans can be individually adjusted to run at different speeds. All fans at max still isnt as loud as my other case that only had 4 fans. The larger fan on top is the only fan that you can turn off the blue LED. There is enough room behind the motherboard tray to run your cables for good cable management allowing for a better airflow. Make sure your power supply has long cables or you might have to get extensions if you want to run cables behind the motherboard. There are 3 empty slots up front to install your cd or dvd drives. The rest are taken up by the front 3 120mm fans. To install your hard drives you must take off both sides of the case and unscrew 8 screws to remove the section with one of the front fans. This allows you to install your hard drive right behind one of the 120mm front fans for cooling of your hard drive. Plenty of room if you have a large graphics card. I’m using an xfx 9600 and have no issues that you might have with a smaller case. Also roomy enough for those big aftermarket CPU coolers. Its a little on the heavy side when all put together but I dont move my PC much so not a problem. To sum it up, this is by far the best case I have ever bought. If your looking for a top notch, great cooling, cool looking full tower case then buy this case. You will not regret it.

I bought this product over some other cases just because I needed good air flow, I didn’t have enough money to buy a cooling system, therefore the antec twelve hundred made it all, cause with its incredible 6 fans has a real great airflow which is exactly what I was looking for.

It has plenty room for more than just 3 hard disc and let me tell you, the motherboard can’t be moved as in some other cases, but it has room at the behind the mobo in case you don’t have a modula PSU, to hide all the cables you aren’t using.

Well, It is exactly more than I need, and is the cheapest of its kind.

I truly recommend it in case you don’t know any other, I have to be honest, I haven’t tried any other but this is my first full tower for gaming purposes and it was a real good choice.

Case is one of the best I’ve ever owned. Lots of room and very sturdy except for the plastic top which is held on by just a few small clips. Reason I dinged two stars is it seems amazon has been sending customer returns as new, or they really suck at shipping. I’ve had this issue with a lot of other orders also ever since signing up for Prime. The window on the case I received had a ton of scratches and some of the parts of the case were damaged (the parts wrapped entirely in foam during shipping). Box also had a previous shipping label attached.

Alright i got the case, and i love it. Not to make this to long but…

This case is amazing, keeps everything cool and running smooth.

The front, back and top fans have their own fan controllers.

The side panel has an optional fan insert if you want it.

There are 2 cons to having this case and one is that the clear part of the side panel rattles sometimes because of some cheap plastic. Second con is that its really heavy..

But what do you expect with steel right?

My case weighs 115 lbs with 10 HDDS, motherboard, PSU and video cards.

Air circulation is amazing, specially if you have a PSU that has a pass-thru fan on front and back, your case and PSU and cards never get hot. Great price for an awesome case.

I will NEVER get another case again…
